One of the most frequent questions I get asked is, “What products do you use to clean your home that are safe around children?”

Well, I can OFFICIALLY publish this blog post and I’m so excited because five of you sweet readers will walk away with free, non-toxic floor cleaning kits that work! (enter soon on my Instagram)

Keeping a clean home does amazing things for my brain. Maybe it’s because I work from home and need to be able to use the space efficiently……I don’t know…..I just function better when everything is clean and in order.

I’ve talked about homemade cleaning products with vinegar and essential oils in this post, but not everyone is a DIY kind-of-girl. So today’s post is for the busy woman looking to replace toxic products with the good stuff!

Ill admit, cleaning isn’t the most “fun” thing to do but a few years ago I began to look at it differently.

Now, I think of cleaning as a way to destress and thank God that I have a home and family to clean up after. I know that sounds cheesy, but it truly gives me perspective and a grateful attitude. I always put on a record and dance around while cleaning, and I always ask Audri to help me with at least one chore so that I’m able to teach her responsibility.

I try to keep a strict cleaning schedule as opposed to deep cleaning when the mess becomes overwhelming, but take this schedule with a grain of salt. Your schedule needs to accommodate your lifestyle.

Here’s My Cleaning Schedule:

Daily: Make Bed, Dishes

I make my bed and unload the dishwasher after my morning routine. I also take care of the dishes after lunch and dinner and dry them on my bamboo rack.

Once the dishes are rinsed and prepped for the dishwasher, I use the Dishwasher Gel found here. I shake it up and squirt 1 tbsp. into the automatic dishwasher’s detergent cup. It gets rid of everything without leaving a filmy residue. Woohoo!

Sunday: Wash Sheets & Pillowcases

I like to begin the week with a clean place to sleep at night. Over the course of the week though, the freshness fades and odor from sweat replaces it. I spray the Stain and Odor Eliminator found here on the pillows and wipe to clean, because it neutralizes the smell. This is also great to spray inside of your children’s (or husband’s) tennis shoes 😉

Monday: Scrub Bathrooms (sinks, showers, bath tubs, toilets)

I use the Kitchen and Bath Scrubber found here. This cream cleans, polishes, and protects hard surfaces, blasting through water spots, soap scum, gunk, grease, oil and grime. I shake it up and apply directly to the surface and rub with a dry scrub pad, sponge, brush, or cloth and rinse. This is magic for toilet bowls, bath tubs, tile, grout, and sinks.

Tuesday: Clean Kitchen (countertop, refrigerator, stovetop, microwave, sink)

I use the Produce Wash found here. It rids my fruits and veggies of film, wax, insecticides, grit, and dirt. I spray directly onto the produce and rub my hands all over to remove the residue. Then I rinse and place in a mason jar for the perfect go-to snack!

I use the Kitchen and Bath Scrubber found here. Yes, this cleanser not only works in the bathroom, it also cleans my stovetop, oven, stainless steel appliances, pots, pans, ceramic, enamel, non-polished countertops, and my porcelain farmhouse sink.

Wednesday: Mop Floors, Vacuum, Sweep

I use this floor cleaning kit. It speaks for itself and it has completely spoiled me to any other product on the market. As mentioned, FIVE of you will get shipped a brand new floor kit including 3 pads, the extension pole, and the cleaning spray!

Thursday: Laundry, Dust

I use this spray ALL OF THE TIME because I’m a mom to a four-year-old…..

It’s like the safe version of Spray and Wash and it works better. Once I spray it directly on the stain, I throw it in the washer and it truly erases the stain. I love it! Then I pop them in the dryer and use these balls found here. This is Audri’s favorite chore to do with me, because she’s in charge of sorting colors.

Friday: Car Wash, Dry Cleaning

Because Paul wears a suit to work every day, I spend one Friday a month picking up his clothes and my date night dresses at the organic cleaners down the street.

Saturday: Clean Counters & Mirrors, Clean Backyard Patio

I use the Glass Cleaner found here. This gets rid of tiny adorable messy fingerprints, greasy smudges, rain spots, and dirt without leaving streaks. I spray it on windows, glass, plexiglass, auto glass, tinted windows, light fixtures, chrome, acrylic, and mirrors. I wipe clean with a dry cloth and admire the shine!

I use the All-Purpose Cleaner found here. Audri’s outdoor play area always need TLC by the end of the week. I actually use this product the most all over the house!

A clean house, a nice candle, and beautiful vase full of flowers makes me smile. It makes me happy, organized, and I’m able to serve Paul and Audri better!

I’ve been a long time fan of Better Life because nothing works as well. For fun, watch their appearance on Shark Tank from four years ago here!
