Keeping my feet pampered is just another way to love on myself and treat my body with respect.

My routine includes a foot rub, a foot soak, and my favorite foot cream. I only do this once or twice a month so that it truly feels like a day at the spa, and it’s something I can look forward to.

Make sure you’re feet are cleansed and follow along with me:

1). Foot Soak

I soak my feet for twenty minutes in lukewarm water (hot water dries me out), a few handfuls of epsom salt, and this apple cider vinegar to soften and soothe the skin.

The benefits of this monthly foot soak is real. It draws toxins out of my body through the sweat glands in my feet. It decreases blood pressure, enhances my immune system, and really clears my mind so that I can meditate and pray. I play relaxing music, light candles, and add flowers for a spa-like experience.

 

2). Foot Cream

After I pat dry, I apply this foot cream all over my feet. It absorbs best right after I get out of the water. It’s natural antioxidants and cooling aloe help my skin feel rejuvenated. I use this to heal any calluses (from dance and playing sports) and to prevent skin from cracking. It’s very moisturizing and soothing. Plus, it’s paraben-free, never tested on animals, and it’s made in America.

I also enjoy their moisturizer, facial oil, and exfoliating scrub. Merlot is family-run company that creates natural products based on grape seeds. They found that antioxidants are 50 times more powerful than Vitamin E and nearly 25 times more powerful than Vitamin C so all of their products help ward off certain cancers and lower cholesterol.

3). Foot Rub

A good foot rub helps me unwind and relax. It relieves anxiety and tension headaches. It gets my circulation flowing properly (especially if I’ve been sitting at my computer all day) and it feels amazing.

My husband is always willing to give me a foot rub when I need one. I try to give him one in return but his feet are sooooo ticklish that it defeats the purpose of relaxation 😉 If your spouse isn’t available, prop your feet up on a pillow and give yourself a foot massage!

Once the foot cream is completely absorbed, and my feet are pampered, I cover my feet with these healing socks and drift off to sleep!
